Vat photopolymerization cures liquid photopolymer resin with controlled light exposure. The resin contains photoinitiators, monomers, and oligomers that cross-link when exposed to light of the appropriate wavelength, typically 405 nm in the near-ultraviolet range. Three variants differ only in how they deliver that light, but the difference determines print speed, cost, and what the process is good for.
