Temple Cores

The metal wire core embedded in an acetate temple provides the rigidity needed for proper fit adjustment and long-term shape retention. Without a core, acetate temples would be too flexible to adjust reliably and too prone to permanent deformation from wear. Two methods dominate: core shooting, the industrial standard, and core lamination, which suits pattern-critical and bespoke work.
