The Quinquennial Spectacle Maker Supply Index is a comprehensive directory of verified vendors serving the optical industry supply chain. Published by the Guild of American Spectacle Makers, the Index documents suppliers of raw materials, components, manufacturing equipment, plano lenses, and prescription lenses from around the world.
The directory is updated continuously and republished in print every five years—hence quinquennial—to provide spectacle makers with a reliable reference for sourcing quality materials and equipment.
What’s Included
The Index organizes vendors across five chapters covering Materials (cellulose acetate, buffalo horn, wood, specialty polymers, titanium, wire alloys), Components (hinges, screws, nose pads, temple tips, cases, packaging), Machines & Tools (CNC equipment, 3D printing, lens processing, hand tools), Plano Lenses (tinted, polarized, photochromic, specialty optics), and Prescription Lenses (stock lenses, finished lenses, global manufacturers).
Submit a Vendor
Know a supplier that should be listed? We welcome submissions from Guild members and the broader spectacle-making community. Please include company name, primary product category, contact details (address, phone, email, website), and a brief description of products or services.

Print Edition
A professionally bound print edition of the Index will available through our store in the coming week.
New print editions are produced every five years; the current edition covers 2025–2030.
